The town features onsen tora-fugu (hot spring tiger puffer), mangoes, coffee farms,
three museums for both kids and adults, the Koisago area (小砂エリア),
which is a member of the "The Most Beautiful Villages in Japan" organization,
the beautiful Naka River, and Koisago-yaki pottery.

Koisago-yaki is historic pottery famous for the use of gold crystals and has been chosen as one of Tochigi prefecture's traditional craftworks. At the center in a beautiful natural environment, you can use Koisago earth to try making wares using a pottery wheel or by hand as well as painting them.

From June 1 to November 15, Takase Kanko Yana offers fresh, natural sweetfish dishes. You can enjoy them while seeing the beautiful river of Nakagawa-machi in front of you. Yana (a weir) is assembled in a traditional way using bamboo and wood to create a nostalgic look.

By the Mumo River in Oyamadashimogo, there is a rock naturally shaped like the female genitals. It is believed it grants worshipers children, easy delivery, protection against women's diseases, and good harvests. It is known as one of the most beautiful autumn leaf spots in Nakagawa-machi.
